18 DAYS 5 CAMPS 1 GOAL
Summer is once again fast approaching all five of our BCMB camps. Camper registrations are open. Staff are being hired. Volunteers are being sought. Guest groups are arriving. Spring is always an exciting time for our camps as we get ready for our favourite season of the year – summer!
I can hear the laughter of our campers as they make their way from the archery range to the high ropes course. I can see campers wrapped in warm towels shivering from the cold water of Quesnel Lake excited about chicken fingers for lunch (always a camper and staff favourite)! I see the sparks rustling, crackling, and popping up from the campfire as our speakers clearly tell each camper how much Jesus loves them.
For many of our campers, their week at camp is the most profound and best week of their summer. Every year campers come to know Jesus for the first time and many more grow in their relationship with Jesus, gaining valuable life and leadership skills. I’ve experienced and seen this happen every summer without fail. What an awesome privilege to be part of our BCMB camping ministry.
One of many ways to support this vibrant and effective ministry is our third annual #ridin4camps. We’ve made a few changes this year, but the goal remains the same – raising awareness and funds to support our five camps.
If you’re a rider…ride your bike, your e-bike, your motorbike, (even your horse!), a total of 90 km between June 1 and 18. If you raise over $100 you get a T-shirt!
New for this year (besides an awesome T-shirt) is the ability to raise funds personally or as a team. Follow this link to sign up.
