Our Guiding Principles.
We are passionate
We are passionate about welcoming, ministering to, and including all who attend our camps – especially those with different beliefs. We are always striving to welcome others with the love and grace of Jesus Christ, committed to serving every person equally and joyfully.
We will operate without compromise
We will operate without compromise all aspects of our camps in line with our confessional convictions. As an incorporated religious society with CRA, we are required by law to have a clear and material connection between our camp activities and CRA mandated charitable purposes.
We will protect
We will protect all campers, guests, staff, and volunteers, as well as the ministry and integrity of our camps by using our policies as our compass.
It is not our practice – nor our place
It is not our practice – nor our place, to change people’s sexual or gender orientation. Instead, we seek to encourage their – and our – growth in faithfulness because God wants to be a refuge and shelter for every person (Psalm 91), whatever their sexuality or gender.
We are committed
We are committed to providing an environment free from discrimination and harassment on protected grounds, as protected by provincial legislation, because we follow Christian beliefs and teaching. We believe that God created each person in His image, and of equal value in His sight. We believe every person is entitled to equal dignity, respect, and bodily integrity.
We are seeking
We are seeking to eliminate inequities in our policy and program development, budgeting, planning and decision-making.
We would like to acknowledge
We would like to acknowledge that the land on which our camps gather is traditional and unceded territory.
