Year End – Strong!
Greetings from the BCMB Bible Camp Society,
As with many of you, we were hoping that 2021 would be significantly better than 2020! And yet here I am writing this update after the major flooding in Abbotsford and southwest BC – and I’m still required to wear a mask shopping! In spite of everything that has happened throughout 2021, we have seen and experienced first hand God’s incredible faithfulness over and over.
Here are some highlights from this past year:
– We had traditional overnight summer campers at three of our camps this summer!
– We know that campers came to know Jesus this summer!
– We were able to begin relationships with many families that otherwise wouldn’t attend our camps.
– Pines and Stillwood were able to host evacuees from our summer fires and November floods. What a practical way to share the love of Jesus with our neighbours.
– Likely was able to partner with Cariboo Bethel church in running day camps in the city of Williams Lake.
– Gardom cooked and served meals out of their new kitchen/dining room and campers heard the Gospel in their new chapel.
– Camp Bob was blessed with enough staff that they were able to run more overnight camps than first anticipated.
Please pray for us as we begin our planning for summer 2022. Our desire is to share the life changing Good News of Jesus Christ very clearly at each one of our camps. Pray that God will begin preparing the hearts of His campers. Pray for our directors as they continue to navigate the (seemingly) never ending pandemic.
We continue to be so thankful to our faithful supporters because we quite simply can’t make it through without your help. As you think about year end giving, whether it’s a one time gift this Christmas or a small monthly pledge, I want to say thank you, thank you so much, for supporting us, for ministering alongside us, and for your much needed prayers. We look forward to what God has for us in 2022.
Ps 78:4 “…we will tell the next generation
the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord,
His power, and the wonders He has done.”
May God richly bless you and your family this Christmas season.
